The STAHLWERK DC TIG 200 ST is a powerful TIG welder with MMA / E-hand welding function. One of the advantages of this DC-powered 2-in-1 combination welder is its compact design and low weight of only 7.6 kg. The DC TIG 200 ST has practical functions such as smart cooling and integrated overheating protection. In TIG mode, the 2T/4T function ensures comfortable working. In 2T mode, the high-frequency ignition (HF) remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing the button again, the ignition is terminated. Advanced IGBT technology enables maximum performance in TIG and electric manual welding at 200 amps. In addition to a comprehensive accessories package, the DC TIG 200 ST IGBT welder - like all STAHLWERK units - comes with a 7-year warranty.

Device Funktions & Components

DC TIG welding – Direct current (DC). Welding of almost all materials such as steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and many more.
2 in 1 combined device – TIG and MMA welding up to 200 A.
2T/4T (TIG) – determines the control of the operating mode and provides extended control over the current flow. In 2T mode, high-frequency ignition (HF) remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode the arc is ignited after a single press and release of the button. After pressing and releasing again, the ignition is stopped.
Gas post flow (TIG) – protects the tungsten electrode against excessive wear and protects the weld from oxidation. The parameters can be set individually and separately. They indicate how long after ignition gas should flow.
IGBT Technology – The latest and most modern transistor technology enables high performance welding! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
Lightweight & compact design – only 7.6 kg and dimensions of 390 x 170 x 275 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No heavy carrying!
High frequency ignition– allows non-contact ignition and ensures a much better welding result.
Attention – Bottle connection: W21,8 x 1/14“ – Gas cylinders from the Netherlands and Great Britain may have a different connection! Please check the connections for compatibility before purchase!

Device Features & Benefits

Hotstart – Automatic voltage increase upon the start for better ignition results.
Anti-stick - Automatic shutdown of the welding current in case of sticking of the electrode which allows an easy removal. It also prevents annealing of the electrode.
Highest efficiency & performance – Single phase current (230 V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 amperes.
Smart cooling & overheating protection – modern technology, built-in overheat protection and high-performance cooling allow you to get maximum performance.
TIG (Tungsten-Inert-Gas) – Inert gas welding with inert / inactive gases such as Argon 4.6 (99.996%). An arc is created in an argon bell between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece. This melts the material and any filler material that is supplied. A weld seam is created.
MMA / Stick electrode welding – an universal welding process. An arc causes the electrode to melt, forming the weld. No protective gas is needed.
Note:
- The unit is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied by a public low-voltage power supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
