The STAHLWERK ARC 200 MD welding device impresses with its genuine 200 amps, single board and latest generation IGBT technology. Thanks to the compact design with integrated single board, the device can be used flexibly without having to forego the advantages of IGBT technology - such as a high switching frequency, stable welding currents and high thermal stability. In combination with the optionally available STAHLWERK WP-17V welding torch, the versatile inverter welding machine can be converted into a TIG welding machine with lift TIG. The MMA welding machine also features smart cooling and overheating protection.

Device functions & components

MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An electric arc causes the electrode to melt, forming the weld seam. No shielding gas is required and it can therefore be used flexibly at any location.
Can be expanded to a DC TIG welder with our optional WP-17V Universal Lift TIG Torch.
IGBT Technology - Latest and most advanced transistor technology allows highest power and duty cycle at full power! No transformer, no MOSFET, state of the art IGBT!
Lightweight & compact design - only 3.2 kg weight and dimensions of 245 x 100 x 160 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
Highest Efficiency & Power - Single phase AC power (230 V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 Amps.
IGBT single board - The ARC 200 MD IGBT features an IGBT single board. Thanks to the compact design, welding units with a single board can be used very flexibly without sacrificing the advantages of IGBT technology (high switching frequency, stable welding currents, thermal stability).

Device features & benefits

Hotstart - Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results. Prevents sticking of the stick electrode and heats up the weld start faster by briefly overriding the set welding current.
Anti-stick - Automatic shutdown of the welding current when the electrode sticks enables easy removal. It also prevents the electrode from annealing.
Smart Cooling & Overheat Protection - State-of-the-art technology, built-in overheat protection and high-performance cooling allow you to retrieve maximum power.
Note: The unit is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied by a public low-voltage power system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
