The STAHLWERK CTM-250 ST Digital combination welder is a powerful 5-in-1 inverter with 200 A and combines the TIG | MIG MAG | MMA | FLUX welding processes in one device. CuSi3 soldering is only possible in TIG mode. The versatile multifunctional device also has an integrated 50 A plasma cutter, equipped with precise contact ignition for the best ignition properties. Depending on the material, the cutting capacity is up to 14 mm (mild steel ST37 up to 10 mm, V2A or V4A up to 7 mm, aluminum up to 4 mm). The welding parameters can be easily read on a clear digital display. The various modes can be set quickly using the intuitive menu. Equipped with the latest generation of IGBT technology, the versatile arc welder impresses with its synergic wire feed and numerous individually adjustable welding parameters. In addition to smart cooling with integrated overheating protection, the welding machine has a synergic wire feed. The wire feed speed is automatically regulated by the set welding current. The spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. As a result, the tacking points are precisely reproducible and uniform. The spot function means that only a small amount of heat reaches the workpiece, resulting in less distortion. The 2T/4T mode offers extended control over the current flow.

Functions

DC TIG welding - direct current (DC). Welding of almost all metals, such as steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and many more. Note: Not suitable for aluminum - an AC/DC device is required for this.
5 in 1 combination device - CUT | TIG | MIG MAG | MMA | FLUX
2T/4T - determines the control of the operating mode and offers extended control over the current flow. In 2T mode, the ignition remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing the button again, ignition is terminated.
Gas run-on (TIG) - protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and protects the weld seam from oxidation. The parameter can be set individually and separately. It specifies how long gas should flow after ignition.
Lightweight & compact design - innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
HF ignition (TIG) - enables non-contact ignition and ensures a much better welding result. No LIFT ARC, no strike ignition!
Highest efficiency & performance - single-phase alternating current (230V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 200 amps for TIG + MIG MAG + MMA.
Smart cooling & overheating protection - State-of-the-art technology, integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum power to be called up.
TIG (tungsten inert gas) - shielded arc welding with inert/inert gases such as argon 4.6 (99.996 %). An arc is created between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece in an argon bell jar. This melts the material and any filler material added. A weld seam is created.
MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode to form the weld seam.
The spot welding function is particularly suitable for thin body parts in the automotive sector. As a result, the tacking points are precisely reproducible and uniform. Thanks to the spot function, only a small amount of heat enters the workpiece, which results in less distortion.

Features & advantages

Hotstart - Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results.
Anti-stick - Automatic shutdown of the welding current when the electrode sticks, enabling easy removal.
MIG MAG - Gas metal arc welding with direct current (DC). Welding can be carried out with inactive/inert (MIG: e.g. argon) or active (MAG: e.g. CO2) gases. Gas and welding wire come out of the torch head and enable welding work to be carried out with just one hand.
Flux-cored wire - The welding machine can use flux-cored wire. This enables welding without shielding gas. The polarity of the device can be easily reversed for this purpose.
Automatic wire feed - the speed of the wire feed is automatically regulated by the set welding current and also by selecting the wire thickness used on the device.
Current voltage (volts) - Variable voltage control to manually adjust the penetration and burn-off of the wire. This means that the various properties of different materials can be taken into account.
4-roller drive - reliable and powerful wire feed. Thanks to 4 drive rollers, even thicker wires are fed continuously and safely.
Manual wire feed - no more loss of gas or laborious pushing of the wire through. If a new wire reel is to be fed through the hosepack, this is done completely automatically using the wire feed button.
Wire spool - Commercially available wire spools from 1 kg to 5 kg can be processed here. The spool mandrel can accommodate 16 mm and 50 mm spools.
Wire drive roll - different wire thicknesses can be used by simply changing the drive roll from 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm.
Plasma / CUT - A plasma jet is generated by means of electricity, which melts the material, which is then removed with compressed air. This allows all conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium and many more to be cut precisely and effortlessly.
Cutting thickness - Depending on the material, cuts of up to 14 mm are possible. Mild steel ST37 up to 14 mm, V2A or V4A up to 8 mm, aluminum up to 5 mm.
Cutting current - Infinitely variable adjustment from 15 to 50 A.
Air after-run - Infinitely adjustable air after-run from 3 to 10 seconds to cool the torch and reduce wear on the nozzle and electrode.

Note: The appliance is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied via a public low-voltage supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
