Functions
- DC arc welding (MMA/E-hand). MMA/Electrode hand welding is a universal welding process as it can be used under almost all conditions. Different electrodes with different polarity can be connected in MMA/Electrode hand welding.
- DC TIG arc welding (DC TIG). DC TIG arc welding. The polarity of the tungsten electrode is either positive or negative throughout the welding process.
- TIG pulse welding. In TIG pulse welding, a base current and a high pulse current of the same polarity are added at regular intervals to optimize the arc characteristics for the desired welding applications. This can eliminate the risk of burn-through in thin materials and reduce deformation of the material by the heat.
- AC TIG Arc Welding (AC TIG). TIG arc welding with alternating current. The polarity of the electrode is switched alternately positive and negative throughout the welding process. Used primarily for welding aluminum and aluminum alloys.
- AC TIG pulse welding. In AC TIG pulse welding, the pulse and AC modes are mixed, allowing for an even more perfect welding result.
- Anti-stick (MMA). In case of sticking of the electrode to the workpiece, the welding current is automatically reduced. The electrode does not glow out and can be easily detached from the workpiece.
Features & Advantages
- Hot start (MMA). Automatic voltage increase at start for better ignition results. Prevents sticking of the stick electrode and heats up the weld start faster by briefly superimposing the set welding current.
- Hot start (TIG). The Hot Start function enables a smoother and more stable start of the arc and increases the efficiency of arc welding. The hot start current can be set between 30-150 A.
- IGBT Technology. Powerful, innovative solution that sets new standards in welding technology.
- Smart Cooling. A powerful fan enables maximum duty cycle to be exploited through excellent cooling.
- ST-Guard housing. Is ergonomic, robust and safe to operate. The control panel is conveniently accessible and intuitive.
- Gas advance. Thanks to the gas advance, the protective gas flow starts before the arc is ignited. This prevents the workpiece from coming into contact with air at the start of welding. This protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and the weld seam from oxidation. The gas lead time can be individually adjusted according to the welding requirements.
- Gas run-on. After the arc is extinguished, the gas follow-up time cools the tungsten electrode and protects the weld pool from oxidation. The gas follow-up time can be set individually depending on the welding requirement.
- Start current. Current used when starting the ignition before it changes to the set welding current (4T).
- Remote regulation via torch or pedal. The welding current can be conveniently adjusted at any time using the rotary control mounted on the torch. Alternatively, the welding current can also be regulated with our optionally available foot pedal.
- Welding current. Continuously adjustable welding current.
- End current. Current that comes on at the end of the ignition before the ignition goes out (4T).
- Current rise. After complete ignition of the arc, the welding process enters the current increase phase, in which the welding current is increased linearly from the set start current value to the desired welding current value (4T).
- Current decrease. After the torch button is pressed and released again (4T), the unit enters an automatic current decrease phase. Prevents shrink marks (end craters) at the end of the weld.
- AC Frequency. Depending on the material used, the frequency density of the AC waveform can be optimized. This accelerates the welding performance and improves the weld shape.
- AC Balance. This function can be used to adjust the positive and negative current cycles for better breaking of the oxide layer in the horizontal direction during AC TIG welding.
- Cleaning current. The cleaning current is used to break up the oxide layer in the longitudinal direction and to accelerate the formation of the weld pool.
- Pulse current. The pulse current is a higher welding current that periodically alternates with the lower base current.
- Pulse width. The pulse width is the duration of a single pulse. The pulse width can be used to set the duration of the pulse current.
- Pulse frequency. The pulse frequency determines how often the current alternates between the pulse and base current set values in a specified time period.
- High frequency pulsing. Advanced pulse width modulation (PWM) with state-of-the-art IGBT technology provides greater control, excellent welding characteristics and better penetration with reduced power consumption. This enables high-frequency welding at up to 500 Hz.
