Functions
- MMA electrode welding / ARC welding as a universal welding process. An electric arc melts the electrode to form the weld seam. No shielding gas is required and can therefore be used flexibly at any location.
- Can be expanded to a DC TIG welding unit with our optionally available WP-17V Universal Lift TIG torch.
- Lightweight & compact design: Only 3.3 kg weight and dimensions of 269 x 116 x 187 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
- The set welding current is easy to read on a clear display. The welding current can be adjusted continuously from 20-160 A using a rotary control.
- IGBT technology: The latest and most modern transistor technology enables maximum performance and duty cycle at full power! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
- Highest efficiency & performance: Single-phase alternating current (230V) supplies the device and allows an output power of 160 amps.
Features and advantages
- IGBT single board (compact inverter design): High switching frequency for stable welding currents, thermal stability and high efficiency combined with flexible, mobile usability.
- Hotstart (optimized start): Automatic voltage increase during ignition improves the start quality, reduces electrode sticking and heats up the start of the seam faster.
- Anti-stick (against sticking): Automatic lowering of the welding current when the electrode sticks enables easy release and prevents overheating/annealing of the electrode.
- Smart cooling and overheating protection (maximum power can be called up): High-performance cooling with integrated overheating protection for reliable continuous operation and safe power output.
- Electronic protection package: Overheating, overvoltage and overcurrent protection increase service life and operational safety.
- Demand-controlled fan: Fan only runs when required - resulting in less dust ingress and lower noise levels.
- Robust ST-Guard housing: Ergonomic, shock-resistant, with easily accessible control panel for use on construction sites/workshops.
- Wide range of applications: Suitable for many common electrode types and material thicknesses in the hobby and professional sector.
- 230 V operation: Single-phase connection 230 V / 50-60 Hz, fuse protection with C characteristic as per manual.
Note: The device is not intended for use in residential areas where the power supply is provided by a public low-voltage supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
