Important information on working safely with laser equipment

The WCD laser welding machines work with class 4 lasers. Wearing laser safety goggles is mandatory during welding – also underneath the welding helmet, since the helmet only protects against stray light and thermal effects. In addition, we recommend safety clothing, a protective mask with appropriate respiratory filters and the use of laser safety barriers.

Before commissioning, users should make sure that all required protective measures have been implemented. In Germany, companies operating laser equipment of class 3R, 3B or 4 must appoint a laser safety officer in accordance with the German regulations § 5 OStrV and DGUV 303-005. After purchase, our service team will be happy to advise you in full on all the necessary measures.
