The STAHLWERK DC TIG 200 ST is a powerful TIG welding machine with MMA/manual welding function. The advantages of the DC-powered 2-in-1 combination welder include its compact design and low weight of just 4.65 kg. To achieve optimum welding results, parameters such as gas advance, current increase, current reduction and gas run-on can be easily adjusted. The gas advance time (0-2 s) determines how long shielding gas flows out before the arc is ignited and shields the welding area. The current increase (0-15 s) regulates the gentle ramp-up of the welding current for a controlled, low-spatter start. The current reduction (0-25 s) is used to define and slowly reduce the current after welding, which supports a clean seam finish. The gas run-on time (0.1-25 s) allows the shielding gas to continue flowing after switching off and protects the hot weld seam from oxidation and contamination. The combi welder also has practical functions such as smart cooling and integrated overheating protection. In TIG mode, the 2T/4T function ensures comfortable working. In 2T mode, the high-frequency ignition (HF) remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing the button again, ignition is terminated. The advanced IGBT technology enables maximum performance in TIG and MMA welding with 200 amps. The DC TIG 200 ST IGBT welding machine is supplied with a comprehensive accessory package.

Device functions & components

DC TIG Welding - Direct Current (DC). Welding of almost all metals, such as steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and many more. Note: Not suitable for aluminum - this requires an AC/DC unit.
2 in 1 combination unit - TIG & MMA welding is possible up to 200 A.
2T/4T (TIG) -determines mode control and provides advanced control over current flow. In 2T mode, high frequency (HF) ignition remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, pressing and releasing the button once ignites the arc. After pressing and releasing again, the ignition is terminated.
Gas follow-up (TIG) - protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and protects the weld from oxidation. The parameter can be set individually and separately. It specifies how long gas should flow after ignition.
IGBT Technology - Latest and most advanced transistors technology enables high performance welding! No transformer, no MOSFET, most modern IGBT!
Lightweight & compact design - only 7.6 kg weight and dimensions of 390 x 170 x 275 mm. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!

Smart Cooling & Overheat Protection - State-of-the-art technology, built-in overheat protection, and high-performance cooling allow maximum power to be retrieved.
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) - Gas shielded welding with inert/inactive gases such as Argon 4.6 (99.996%). An arc is created between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece in an argon bell. This melts the material and any filler material added. A weld seam is formed.
MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An arc causes the electrode to melt, forming the weld. No shielding gas is required.
Note: The unit is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied by a public low-voltage power system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
