The STAHLWERK AC/DC TIG 200 Puls Pro Touch is a multifunctional TIG welding machine with additional MMA/ARC function for electrode welding. Thanks to advanced pulse width modulation (PWM) and modern IGBT technology, this arc welder offers excellent welding properties with reduced power consumption. The powerful welding machine impresses with its low weight and is equipped with a job memory as well as a pulse and spot function. The machine also impresses when welding aluminum and thin sheet metal. The versatile inverter welding machine has a digital touch display that shows a wide range of functions and enables a variety of settings for a wide range of welding processes such as DC MMA, DC TIG, AC TIG, DC and AC pulse. The various modes can be set quickly using the intuitive menu. All set welding parameters are easy to read on the clear digital display. The fully equipped version of the STAHLWERK AC/DC TIG 200 Puls Pro Touch offers a comprehensive accessory package to meet the highest demands.

Functions

AC TIG arc welding (AC TIG). TIG arc welding with alternating current. The polarity of the electrode alternates between positive and negative during the entire welding process. Mainly used for welding aluminum and aluminum alloys.
AC TIG pulse welding. In AC TIG pulse welding, the pulse and alternating current modes are mixed, allowing an even more perfect welding result to be achieved.
DC arc welding (MMA/e-hand). MMA/electrode manual welding is a universal welding process, as it can be used under almost all conditions. Various electrodes with different polarities can be connected during MMA/electrode manual metal arc welding.
DC TIG arc welding (DC TIG). TIG arc welding with direct current. The polarity of the tungsten electrode is either positive or negative during the entire welding process.
TIG pulse welding. In TIG pulse welding, a base current and a high pulse current of the same polarity are added at regular intervals to optimize the arc properties for the desired welding applications. This avoids the risk of burning through thin materials and reduces the deformation of the material caused by the heat.
Spot function. An integrated spot function is used for spot welding thin sheets and body parts.
Anti-stick (MMA). If the electrode sticks to the workpiece, the welding current is automatically reduced. The electrode does not anneal and can be easily detached from the workpiece.
Hotstart (MMA). Automatic voltage increase at the start for better ignition results. Prevents the sticking of the rod electrode by briefly superimposing the set welding current and heats up the start of the weld seam more quickly.
Hot start (TIG). The hot start function enables a more even and stable arc start and increases the efficiency of arc welding. The hot start current can be set between 30-150 A.
IGBT technology. Powerful, innovative solution that sets new standards in welding technology.
Smart cooling. A powerful fan enables maximum duty cycle to be utilized through excellent cooling.
ST-Guard housing. Is ergonomic, robust and reliable. The control panel is easily accessible and intuitive to operate.

Features & advantages

Gas preflow. Thanks to the gas preflow, the shielding gas flow starts before the arc is ignited. This prevents the workpiece from coming into contact with air at the start of welding. This protects the tungsten electrode from excessive wear and the weld seam from oxidation. The gas lead time can be set individually depending on the welding requirements.
Gas run-on. After the arc goes out, the tungsten electrode is cooled down by the gas run-on time and the weld pool is protected from oxidation. The gas run-on time can be set individually depending on the welding requirements.
Starting current. Current used when starting the ignition before it changes to the set welding current (4T).
Welding current. Infinitely variable welding current.
Final current. Current that comes on at the end of ignition before the ignition goes out (4T).
Current rise. After complete ignition of the arc, the welding process enters the current increase phase, in which the welding current is increased linearly from the set start current value to the desired welding current value (4T).
Current reduction. After the torch button has been pressed and released again (4T), the device enters an automatic current reduction phase. Prevents blowholes (end craters) at the end of the weld seam.
AC frequency. Depending on the material used, the frequency density of the AC waveform can be optimized. This accelerates the welding performance and improves the shape of the weld seam.
AC balance. This function can be used to adjust the positive and negative current cycles for better breaking up of the oxide layer in the horizontal direction during AC TIG welding.
Cleaning current. The cleaning current is used to break up the oxide layer in the longitudinal direction and to accelerate the formation of the weld pool.
Pulsed current. The pulse current is a higher welding current that alternates periodically with the lower base current.
Pulse width. The pulse width is the duration of a single pulse. The pulse width can be used to set the duration of the pulse current.
Pulse frequency. The pulse frequency determines how often the current alternates between the set pulse and base current values in a defined period of time.

Note: The device is not intended for use in residential areas where the power supply is provided by a public low-voltage power supply system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
