Device functions & components
- Plasma / CUT - A plasma jet is generated by means of electricity, which melts the material, which is then removed with compressed air. This allows all conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium and many more to be cut precisely and effortlessly.
- Cutting thickness - Depending on the material, cuts of up to 25 mm are possible. Mild steel ST37 up to 25 mm, V2A or V4A up to 18 mm, aluminum up to 16 mm.
- Pilot ignition - High-frequency (HF) pilot ignition for first-class ignition behavior. No contact with the workpiece necessary! The pilot flame establishes the arc. This torch can be operated with a spacer included in the scope of delivery.
- Cutting current - stepless adjustment from 30 to 80 A.
- Operating mode "MESH METAL" - is particularly suitable for workpieces with a grid structure or interruptions where the arc may lose contact for a short time.
- SHEET METAL" operating mode - recommended for continuous sheets where a uniform cut is guaranteed.
- Pre-flow and post-flow setting - This function allows the air pre-flow and post-flow time to be set individually.
Device features & advantages
- IGBT technology - The latest and most modern transistor technology enables high performance during welding! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
- Lightweight & compact design - With a weight of only 19.6 kg and dimensions of 485 x 238 x 437 mm, the device is ideal for cutting work anywhere. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to the old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
- Highest efficiency & performance - three-phase AC (400 V) supplies the device and allows an output power of real 80 amps.
- Smart cooling & overheating protection - State-of-the-art technology, integrated overheating protection and high-performance cooling enable maximum power to be called up.
- Torch Height Control (THC) - The CUT 80 P plasma cutter is equipped with a 2-pin connection (THC) for torch height control. This connection is intended for direct reading of the cutting voltage from a torch height control. The arc voltage is measured during the cutting process and transmitted to the CNC control unit. This allows the CNC system to maintain the correct torch height regardless of fluctuations in the material or the flatness of the cutting surface. In this way, a constant distance to the workpiece is guaranteed at all times.
