Functions

MMA electrode welding / ARC welding - a universal welding process. An electric arc causes the electrode to melt, forming the weld seam. No shielding gas is required and it can therefore be used flexibly at any location.
With the optional WP-17V Universal Lift TIG torch, the welding machine can be expanded to a DC TIG welder.

IGBT single board - The ARC 160 MD welder features an IGBT single board. Thanks to the compact design, welders with a single board can be used very flexibly without sacrificing the advantages of IGBT technology (high switching frequency, stable welding currents, thermal stability).

Hotstart - Automatic voltage increase during startup for better ignition results. Prevents sticking of the stick electrode and heats up the start of the weld more quickly by briefly superimposing the set welding current.
Anti-stick - Automatic shutdown of the welding current when the electrode remains stuck enables easy removal. It also prevents the electrode from annealing.
Smart Cooling & Overheat Protection - State-of-the-art technology, built-in overheat protection and high-performance cooling allow you to retrieve maximum power.
Note: The unit is not intended for use in residential areas where power is supplied by a public low-voltage power system. It may be difficult to ensure electromagnetic compatibility in these areas due to both conducted and radiated interference.
