Functions
- AC TIG Welding: TIG welding with alternating current, particularly for aluminum and aluminum alloys.
- DC TIG welding: TIG welding with direct current for numerous metals such as steel, stainless steel, copper, and brass.
- AC TIG pulse welding: A combination of alternating current and pulse modes for demanding welding applications on aluminum.
- DC TIG pulse welding: Periodic alternation between pulse and base current for precise control of heat input.
- MMA/Manual Arc Welding: Universal electrode welding with various rod electrodes and polarities.
- Four AC waveforms: Choice between square, triangular, trapezoidal, and sinusoidal waveforms to adjust penetration, bead shape, and operating noise.
- Pulse parameters: Individually adjustable pulse current, base current, pulse width, and pulse frequency.
- AC parameters: Adjustable AC frequency, AC balance, and cleaning current for processing various aluminum materials and oxide layers.
- HF Ignition: Contactless high-frequency ignition for a clean arc start without touching the workpiece.
- Lift-TIG ignition: Arc ignition by briefly touching the workpiece while HF ignition is deactivated.
- 2T/4T Operation: Choice between holding down the torch trigger and convenient continuous operation.
- Spot welding function: Defined welding duration for fast and precise tack welding of thin-walled sheets.
- Repeat welding function: Consecutive welding cycles without completely interrupting the gas flow.
- Job memory: Ten memory slots (0–9) for saving and recalling individual parameter settings.
- Foot pedal control: Three-pin connection for external control of the welding current using a suitable remote control.
Features & Benefits
- High-Performance Liquid Cooling: The CT-500 cooling system provides 1.6 kW of cooling capacity, ensuring stable temperatures and longer operating cycles.
- Coolant Monitoring: The welding power source monitors the coolant flow and displays an error code if the cooling circuit is interrupted.
- IGBT Technology: High-performance inverter technology for excellent welding performance and reduced power consumption.
- Pulse-width modulation: Modern PWM technology enables precise and stable control of the welding current.
- Digital control panel: Logically arranged controls and a central rotary knob for quick selection and adjustment of welding parameters.
- Hot Start MMA: A brief increase in welding current for improved ignition and faster heating of the weld start.
- Anti-Stick: If the stick electrode sticks to the workpiece, the welding current is automatically reduced. The electrode can be more easily detached from the workpiece and does not burn out.
- Hot Start TIG: Adjustable hot start current from 30 to 150 A for a smooth and stable arc start.
- Gas Preflow: The shielding gas flows even before the arc is struck, protecting the tungsten electrode and the weld bead from oxidation.
- Gas Afterflow: After the arc extinguishes, the electrode and molten pool continue to be protected and cooled by the shielding gas.
- Current ramp-up: The welding current is increased smoothly from the set starting current to the desired working current.
- Current reduction: Controlled reduction of the welding current to prevent end craters at the end of the weld bead.
- Stepless current control: Precise adjustment of the TIG welding current from 5 to 315 A.
- Smart cooling: High-performance fans support maximum duty cycle and protect the electronic components from overheating.
- ST-Guard Housing: Robust and ergonomic design with a conveniently accessible control panel.
- Mobile all-in-one system: A transport cart with a gas cylinder holder, cable holder, and storage shelf facilitates safe transport within the workshop.
