Device functions & components
- Plasma / CUT - A plasma jet is generated by means of electricity, which melts the material, which is then removed with compressed air. This allows all conductive metals such as standard steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, titanium and many more to be cut precisely and effortlessly.
- Cutting thickness - Depending on the material, cuts of up to 44 mm are possible. Mild steel ST37 up to 44 mm, V2A or V4A up to 32 mm, aluminum up to 27 mm.
- All parameters can be easily read on a clear digital display. The various values can be set quickly using the intuitive menu.
- Pilot ignition - high-frequency (HF) pilot ignition for first-class ignition behavior. No contact with the workpiece necessary! The pilot flame establishes the arc. This torch can be operated with a spacer included in the scope of delivery.
- Cutting current - Stepless adjustment from 20 to 100 A.
- Air after-run - After the cutting process is completed, air flows in to cool the torch and reduce wear on the nozzle and electrode.
- 2T/4T - determines the control of the operating mode and offers extended control over the current flow. In 2T mode, high-frequency ignition (HF) remains active until the button on the torch is released. In 4T mode, the arc is ignited after pressing and releasing the button once. After pressing and releasing the button again, ignition is terminated.
Device features & advantages
- IGBT Technology - Latest and most advanced transistor technology enables high performance welding! No transformer, no MOSFET, state-of-the-art IGBT!
- Lightweight & Compact Design - Weighing only 27.5 kg and measuring 570 x 310 x 510 mm, the unit is ideal for cutting work anywhere. Innovative IGBT transistors save space and weight compared to old MOSFET technology. No more heavy carrying!
- Highest Efficiency & Power - Three-phase AC power (400 V) supplies the unit and allows output power of true 100 amps.
- Smart Cooling & Overheat Protection - State-of-the-art technology, built-in overheat protection, and high-performance cooling allow maximum power to be retrieved.
- Torch Height Control (THC) - The CUT 100 P plasma cutter is equipped with a 2-pin connector (THC) for torch height control. This connector is designed for direct reading of the cutting voltage from a torch height control. In doing so, the arc voltage is measured during the cutting process and transmitted to the CNC control. This allows the CNC system to maintain the correct torch height regardless of variations in the material or flatness of the cutting surface. In this way, a constant distance to the workpiece is guaranteed at all times.
