The STAHLWERK GS20 AIR grinding mask combines eye and face protection with a battery-powered PAPR respiratory protection system and a P3 particle filter of class TH3 P in accordance with EN 12941. The fan draws in ambient air, filters out solid and liquid aerosols, dust, and particles, and continuously delivers the filtered air to the grinding mask via a breathing tube. The airflow can be adjusted to three levels: ≥170 l/min, ≈200 l/min, or ≈230 l/min. The LCD display shows the filter status, airflow setting, current airflow data, battery status, and alarm messages. If the airflow is insufficient, the system issues an audible, visual, and vibrating warning. The 14.8-V Li-ion battery is charged using the included charger. With an airflow of 170 l/min, a new particle filter, a fully charged battery, and at room temperature, the expected operating time is 10 hours. The polycarbonate visor with a wide field of view protects the eyes and face against solid particles with low impact energy up to 120 m/s, in accordance with EN ISO 16321-1. The headband, visor distance, and tilt angle can be individually adjusted. The grinding mask is designed for medium head sizes, features a face seal, and is ideal for professional use in industry, trades, and DIY. The system is intended for grinding, cutting, deburring, and similar machining processes. It reduces exposure to solid and liquid aerosols, dust, and particles; however, it does not provide protection against gases, vapors, or oxygen deficiency.
